The sponsor of the BT Global Challenge asked Verve to handled the shore leave celebrations when the fleet in the round-the-world yacht race stopped in Wellington.
We branded the waterfront and designed a public programme to draw people to the yachts, including booths showing race footage, seminars and technology showcases for BT and local partner Clear.
We also looked after the crew, setting up bars to host them and events to introduce them to the locals.
When it was time to re-start the yacht race, we managed the send off by 20,000 Wellingtonians.
Verve turned the six-week lay-over into a festival showcase for the sponsors and for New Zealand.
